MENTORING CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct outlines the principles that guide respectful and productive mentoring relationships within the Black Brilliance Bridge Mentoring Program. Both mentors and mentees are expected to uphold these principles to ensure a positive and enriching experience for all participants.

Respect and Inclusion

Treat each other with courtesy, respect, and inclusivity.

Maintain confidentiality of all information shared during the mentoring relationship.

Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or offensive behavior.

 

Commitment and Accountability

Be committed to the mentoring relationship and fulfill your agreed-upon responsibilities.

Communicate openly about any challenges or changes that may arise.

Participate actively and arrive on time for scheduled meetings.

 

Cultural Sensitivity

Celebrate diverse cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and values.

Practice inclusivity and build bridges across differences.

 

 

 

 

Boundaries and Ethics

 

Recognize and respect personal boundaries.

Maintain appropriate professional relationships and avoid conflicts of interest.

Be honest and transparent in your communication.

Foster open and honest communication.

Program Guidelines

Adhere to all Black Brilliance Bridge program guidelines.

Follow the instructions and resources provided by the program.

Report any concerns or violations of this code to program staff.

The program runs from February to July every year.

 

 

 

 

Termination

The mentoring relationship may be terminated by mutual agreement or due to program guidelines.

Both parties will be notified and supported during the termination process.

By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we can create a safe and supportive space where both mentors and mentees can thrive in the Black Brilliance Bridge Mentoring Program.
